CMOs Changing Role Includes Internet Marketing Strategy

Marketing needs to learn how to implement online elements and track the metrics

CMO magazine reports that the role of the CMO is changing according to a research project by CMO Partners and executive search firm Spencer Stuart.  They  interviewed more than 350 CEOs and CMOs.

Their primary conclusion: The role of the CMO must expand.

One of the areas identified is Internet marketing.  Many  CMOs do not yet have their wits around what makes up an effective Internet Marketing Strategy and how to best to include these elements into their overall marketing plan

We do a briefing on Internet Marketing strategy for CMOs in the LA area.  Watch this blog for the online version over the next several posts.
