As broadband use continues to climb and search engines pay more and more attention to audio and video files, media RSS is appearing on the radar of marketers and PR people who have their fingers on the pulse.

Site Pro News has a good article today on 6 ways to get your content into Yahoo! and one of them is Media RSS 

Take a look at the  search box of Yahoo – it now offers video and audio as vertical search options.  And in order to get yoru content into this vertical search area you will need to  put it into a media RSS feed.
