SAP Gets In Touch With Bloggers

Taking the lessons learned to heart.

SAP is doing a pretty incredible job of supporting an ongoing conversation with the (non-SAP-ecosystem) blogging community, was one comment from a blogger invited to participate in SAPPHIRE 06.

With so many debacles in the PR/blogger relaitons arena, it’s refreshing to see one that got it right.

SAP invited bloggers to their premier SAPPHIRE 06 event and gave them free rein - complete access to the show and the execs. They were given carte blanche to blog about the event, with just one request: "If they were critical of SAP, give us a change to post a reply and state our side," says Mike Prosceno, VP of Marketing at SAP.

It worked.  They got a flood of positive posts and requests from other bloggers to be invited next time.

Take notes people.
